More than a chip maker.

We make a lot of our foods from scratch and thought this would be great for chips, homemade chicken nuggets, fish bites etc. So far I have used it 3-4 times a week with different recipes from the book and whatever i think would work with a dry heat cooking method. It has been easy to use and clean. Looking forward to trying other different things like risotto next week. Only down side is keep the kids well away from it as it does heat up quickly.

Great addition to a well-stocked kitchen

I love this appliance, even though it does take a lot of room in the cupboard. It makes beautiful 'healthy' chips. One word of caution - the risotto recipe was a disaster - stock all over the bench!

Now who could ever believe chips could be healthy! Now I know guilt-free chips exist after using the Tefal Actifry Health Cooker. I use a spoonful of Macadamia Oil to produce the perfectly crisp, omega 3, low-calorie and flavour laden chips. The Actify is a must for the health conscious!

Fuss free.

Cleaning this is a breeze. Love the removable lid for washing and the non-stick wipe over pan. Husband commented on the great veges not knowing I'd cooked them in the actifry..crisp and cooked to perfection with no oily residue around my kitchen. Delivery excellent and follow up service to be commended. Highly recommend.

yes please!!!

Because of a steadily increasing weight gain, my deep fryer was banished years ago, but who doesn't like chips? honestly this appliance is an answer to a pyayer for a chip treat on the odd occasion, this machine makes the nicest crunchiest chips ever, I don't use the amount of oil suggested, but halve the oil quantity, and still get really tasty/ crunchy chips. This machine is a must for chip lovers, who are concious of eating a healthier alternative to the good old fashioned fryer chips. If you are considering buying this item, go for it, you won't be sorry.

Of course it doesn't do everything your deep fat fryer would do.

I love this product for any type of root vegetable, but be careful with adding in more fragile veg such as broccoli. Also it can't cope with batter (unsurprisingly when you consider the cooking method). Just wanted to add a caveat to the extremely positive reviews.

Unbelievable

We took delivery a couple of weeks ago and are blown away by this device. Makes awesome chips, even tried sweet potato! We've done prawns and vegetarian nuggets in it and even followed a couple of recipes that came with it. Love the Madagascan Beef. This is a seriously unique product.

No more takeaway chips

We'd taken to using our deep fryer outside because of the smell that lingered afterwards (not so practical in winter!!!) so this product was the answer to all our prayers. Our chips are now better than any deep fried alternative & the kids ask for home-made takeaway instead of the greasy junk food kind. Fabulous product.

Five star appliance

Clearly I like my Tefal Actifry - I'm purchasing another one! Not for myself - a bribe for a family member... the most used electrical appliance I have had. How easy to throw in some pre-marinated chicken wings for a quick lunch. Tip: give internal bowl etc a good mist with kitchen cooking oil spray prior to cooking marinated wings & then soak for a while after use.

Buffalo Wings!!

I love this gadget! It does PERFECT non greasy chips, as well as perfect chicken wings and thighs. I have also made garlic and rosemary potatoes, and they are fantastic.

This gets used several times a week in my kitchen. Tip - use coliban potatoes for the chips.

Have your health and eat your chips too!

The results justify the price. Imagine eating your fresh cooked chips that are not remotely greasy. That's what we do now. KD got this to us in super quick time and with outstanding service over the phone. Will be trying the stirfry recipes and chilli con carne very soon. It's versatile and compact.
