Cuisinart Ice Cream, Yoghurt & Sorbet Maker Metallic Red

This is my 2nd purchase from Kitchenware Direct, very impressed with the speed of delivery. Have only made the simple ice-cream so far, changed the recipe to suite our tastes. Only complaint, recipe book sent with machine, is in ounces & pounds. Emailed Cuisinart.au they emailed me a copy of Aus. version. (A few of these recipes are in lbs & ounces also) Otherwise, very happy with purchases.

$99.00 and free delivery no complaints about this machine, yes it is noisy but with just an off/on switch, I wont forget about it. I have only made simple ice cream so far but will experiment with sorbet and frozen yoghurts in the weeks to come. Would make a nice gift.

I quite like this machine. Easy to use with a single on/off switch, and you can buy spare bowls. My only complaint is that it is extrememly noisy when running.

Right price at $99 , wonderful product. We use it daily for frozen yoghurts , and now have made first real ice cream for a birthday. I am recommending this product and this site to everyone. Fat free frozen yoghurt with added fruit...bonus.

Where we live is fairly isolated, so bringing ice cream home from town (even with an esky full of ice) is a problem. I'm really happy with this machine and plan to experiment once I get the chance. I'm thinking I could reduce sugar content and bump up fruit and see what I can produce!!!

I got this on sale through KitchenwareDirect. After reading many reviews, they all pointed me towards this product. It is so easy to use and there I always get a consistently great result .. even using recipes that are quite low fat. Will definitely be purchasing from KitchenwareDirect again!

Having tried and failed in the past to make ice cream without an electric ice cream maker I decided to purchase one. Kitchenware Direct had this lovely red one on sale so I couldn't resist.... and I can't resist the ice cream it makes either.... aggh the calories. It does get a bit noisy as the ice cream starts to harden but it isn't deafening, just churns away. Very easy to use and the results are excellent... I have made some extremely yum vanilla ice cream with added rum and raisin choc bits thrown in. Well made, fabulous colour and a 2 litre capacity , what more does one need.

I have been wanting one of these machines for soooo long so I was over the moon when I finally purchased one. The Cuisinart Ice Cream machine is everything I expected. It is easy to use, much quieter than the previous "cheap" one I had and so lovely to look at. Having velvety, creamy, fruity home-made ice cream on hand seems like a luxurious indulgence but with this machine, it has become a regular expectation in our house and I know exactly what goes into each mixture.

We're very happy. We've only used it once and used no fat milk, but full fat cream. We made the vanilla bean ice cream recipe. Next time we will use half the sugar as we found it a bit sweet and low fat cream. It's a lot healther than commercial ice cream because there's no chemicals, and tastes delicious.

Great little machine, very easy to use, have tried recipes from the booklet that came with it and also random other ones - they all work great. The rum and raisin we made at Christmas was outstanding. Another excellent purchase and great service from Kitchenware Direct, as usual :)

The Cuisinart Ice Cream maker is so easy to use that even my 7 year old can do it. The recipes are simple and the basic vanilla ice cream tastes great & is quick & simple to make! Its great to have the option of making icecream on the spot rather than storing a bought pack from the supermarket. Best purchase ever!

Have never made ice cream before but could not be happier with the result's. Beautiful ice cream, made without sugar that is full of flavour and as creamy as the store bought product's. Have only had it a couple of day's but will be using it frequently as it was so easy.I think this is a quality product with top quality service from Kitchenware Direct. Will be buying this for gift's as the price is so affordable. Great work.

....misleading that KWD call it a 'yoghurt maker' too. Was one of my reasons to purchase - and it does not. What you can do is put yoghurt in and get frozen yoghurt. Aside from that, excellent machine and very happy with it.

We bought this because we like to know what goes into our food, and we all enjoy being creative! This really does make 2 litres of ice cream, the recipes in the supplied booklet do work. The Simple Chocolate Ice Cream is absolutely creamy and delicious. The churning is quite noisy, but didn't bother anyone in the family. We have made our own variations now: Mango and Banana Ice Cream and Plum and Banana Ice Cream (reducing the cream and replacing with a banana or two). If you want firm, scoopable ice cream for your evening meal, make your ice cream in the morning of that day and store in the freezer.

bought the ice cream maker for our christmas, makes great ice cream, have made the mango and also just made the vanilla with added choc crumble bars crushed and it tastes great,all our christmas visitors loved the ice cream,it is great product

This appliance is so grat - easy to use with great results. Bought it for hubby as a Christmas present and we have already made the strawberry icecream - it was delicious. We love the Cuisinart Ice Cream maker; so easy to use and to clean The results are amazing. We will be using it to the max to make many delicious icecreams, frozen yoghurts and sorbets.

Very happy with my own I bought another as engagement present for friends. So nice to show off home made ice-cream and sorbets made in no longer than 20 minutes, as long as mix is cold. Can put on for softer serves whilst clearing dinner plates for complete delight of dinner guests. Delivers next day in Perth ; ) Highly recommend.

Frozen yoghurt is even quicker and healthier. Really only takes about 15mins with a proper frozen bowl. We didn't add the sugar as we used vanilla or mango yoghurt which was sweet enough. If you overdo it the movement of the ice-cream/yoghurt stops and the sides of the bowl are caked with a really frozen layer. Raspberry ice-cream is nice but the seeds get in your teeth. The noise is caused from the weight of the bowl pressing on the motor mechanism. Very easy to clean and preparation of ice-cream is pretty simple with combination of ingredients in a mixing bowl to basically dissolve the sugar.

I"m not sure what I am more excited about...the quick delivery (who likes waiting for a new toy?), the gorgeous red colour (who can go past red?) or the divine first batch of ice-cream I made on the weekend (and was eaten within 24 hours). If Willy Wonka had one of these his Chocolate Factory would have been a Chocolate Ice-cream Factory!!!

This was my first purchase from KitchenwareDirect and like others, I was very impressed with the service. I was equally impressed with the icecream maker too! Not only does the red look very sexy in my kitchen (lol) but it was easy to get started with the mini recipe book and instructions. The bowl itself is the right size to fit on a shelf in our upright freezer, so that was another win and I like the manual nature of the machine, so that we can make the ice cream to the exact texture we like. Although we don't have alot of desserts in our house, I figure if I'm going to give my kids sugar and cream, at least it comes free of the other artificial stuff.

I read previous reviews before purchasing this and can honestly say all the reviews were spot on. This machine is great, a little noisy but thats only when the icecream is nearly ready. I've made sorbet also and my kids love it, I wont be buying store icecream or sorbet again.

After reading the reviews I knew to make a permanent space in the freezer for the freezer bowl. This means that the ice cream maker is ready to go all the time. Strawberry season now has resulted in loads of strawberry ice-cream and sorbet. So easy. Mix, place in churn and sometime later.....yum. Ice-cream. Easy to clean and does not take much room in the fridge.

So happy with this. I've tried others but this is awesome! I've yet to get 2L from the recipes but did use a larger different recipe- it didn't freeze the larger quantity well. I'd say more of a 1.5-1.8L maker but still so good!

Having tried to make icecream the old fashion way recently I am so pleased with what little effort it takes using the icecream machine! Being able to make preservative free icecreams has also won me over. The service & prices from Kitchenware Direct is excellent will shop again I'm sure!

Excellent & fast service from this Retailer! I wish I had my ice-cream maker all those years ago when my children were young. I'm enjoying using it none-the-less. I too had read about the noise, and although it is a bit noisy, one can put it away from the general household if necessary. It's a fun item for me!

Love having a 2L ice cream maker. It makes it all worthwhile as there's actually ice cream in the fridge instead of just eaten! Red colour is hot! A bit noisy - but pop it in a pantry and the ice cream is great and quick.

I live in the NT and had to make sure everything was really cold including ingredients and beaters, once that was sorted it worked like magic.

Seriously, now that I know how fews ingredients in takes to make ice cream, I refuse to let my kids eat store bought as it is full of chemicals, additives and things I cant pronounce! Home made has real chocolate, real milk, real fruit. On the downside, the maker is quite bulky in my opinion, but the red colour is fabulous!

I brought this as a birthday present for my son who has a interlectual disability and shows a great interest in cooking and just loves ice cream . With help he is mastering the art of ice cream making & just loves it. Each week is a challenge for him to make something different. As for the noise - who cares.

I recently purchased this icecream maker, and have to say how easy it is to use. I have tried a few different recipes which have all worked out well, though definitely have my favourites among them. As the noise level had been mentioned somewhat in previous reviews, I was not sure what to expect, however, must say that, yes it is a noisy little thing, though it can be forgiven because of the gourmet icecream it creates. Ours was moved to the laundry quite quickly. In the kitchen, near an open window, I could even hear it churning 50 metres away from where it sat. No biggie though. Worth it. The thicker and more frozen the icecream gets, the louder the noise - it just means it's working! The opening is nice and big for adding bits and pieces during the final 5-10 minutes, though I have noticed that the pieces need to be quite small, otherwise they can cause the bowl to slow down as the bits pass by the scraper. Also not a biggie as it is really easy just to add big chunks to the bowl by hand at the end. All in all, really glad to have bought this one. Apart from the extra kilos - so MUST find some lo-cal recipes!!

What a great little machine. It works well and is not as noisy as I was expecing (considering some people have specifically noted the noise of the engine). I've only made a sorbet with it but it turned out great. I used to make ice ceam in an ice cream parlour and my home-made sorbet turned out just as good as the sorbets I used to make at the ice creamery. I cannot wait to try some other recipes!!

We bought this several weeks ago at a great price, and have not been sorry. Have made ice cream using several different methods, and frozen yoghurt, and have all been a hit. Have taken advice and transferred the freshly made ice cream into other containers and it keeps well. A little noisy, but no worse than some other kitchen appliances. Would recommend. i brought this product with the idea of making ice creams and deserts, which i have now used twice, both times i was very disappointed at the noise of the machine, i had envisaged making ice cream's and frozen yogurts during my favorite movies only to find that i can not hear anything over the noise. Ps, rating systems need to have negative star ratings available as well

this is a fantabulous machine it is so quick and easy. vgreat to make sorbets for my husband who is a diabetic also makes great icecream i have wanted one for a long time annd am greatful i bought the best quality machine .good on you kithen direct for selling a good product recommend everyone to have one.

Only on my first batch of ice-cream but it worked wonderfully. Fresh strawberry ice-cream is divine. Made the full batch and froze what was left. The frozen stuff is no harder than most bought ice-creams. I like that I can make a full big batch or a smaller batch all in the one machine. The recipe said 20-25 minutes but I think it probably should have mixed a little longer (a bit runny in the middle when I turned it into the freezer container). Overall, very happy and I'm sure it will get lots of use with our growing family. Its nice I can now give them fresh home made additive & preservative free ice-cream, and I can make dairy free ice-cream & fresh fruit slushies.

Delighted with my ice-cream maker, much easier than I had expected. Is fantastic fun - and so nice to know that you are not eating all the additives. Would recommend buying the extra bowl though - because when the mood strikes make one batch isn't really enough.

It's five days after Christmas and it's been in use every day. We have a very small freezer but it still fits. I have recommended it to all my friends. The ice cream and sorbet makes lovely gifts. I hope it still works as well after a year or more.

Great ice cream maker. Wish I could purchase a 3 litre capacity one. Yes, ice cream is hard when first out of the freezer but if you transfer the freshly made ice cream into smaller freezer proof containers instead of one large one - problem solved! Just let it sit outside for a few minutes. Little noisy at first but not any noiser than any other kitchen appliance. Kids are over the moon.

I tried it once after I bougt it. I liked the process and overall desing, but there's one thing i don't like. This one makes almost 2 liters of ice cream, which I cannot consume over night. The next day when you take it out of the freezer the ice cream is hard like stone. So I would rather do some small portions, like 500 ml at one time. So if you're coosing between this one and the 1,5liter one and you don't have a huge family, get the smaller one. Also if you plan to make gelato with it, you are going to need a thermometer. Like a candy thermometer. So buy one too. And don't forget the plastic containers for the freezer.

Huge fan of this ice cream maker. It works wonderfully well, looks great in my kitchen and the speed at which it was delivered was second to none. I've made a few purchases from Kitchenware Direct and they've never let me down. I'll be doing all my Christmas shopping here.

This is my second ice cream maker & I've found this one to be great. It is a little noisy toward the end when the ice cream is getting thick (although there are lots of kitchen appliances that are way noisier!), but the whole process from start to finish only takes about 25 minutes & the finished product is definitely worth it! Over all I'm very happy with this machine.

Easy to use Icecream maker. Great Colour, we followed the recipe in the booklet and it worked really well. We then used some of our own recipes and they worked just as well. Much better than having to take the icecream out of the freezer over and over a gain to beat up. Need to look after the paddle - it seems a little bit flimsy but will be ok with care.

We borrowed one of these from a friend to see if it's something that it just a novelty and become another appliance taking up shelf space...IT'S LOVED IT SO MUCH WE BOUGHT OUR OWN AND STILL LOVING IT. The kids love it, us adults love it and we know exactly what ingredients are going in to the ice cream, yoghurt & sorbet. It's so easy to use...DID I ALREADY SAY WE LOVE IT!

I am very pleased I bought this ice-cream machine, it's marvellous. Very, very easy (and fun) to use, and don't pay any attention to the reviews which claim the appliance is noisy, it's really not that bad!!

So easy to use and clean which is always a bonus. With summer coming this will probably be my most used kitchen applicance of the season! And the amazing next day delivery from KWD totally awesome !!
