Recently bought this rice cooker and thought there was a fault with as it kept boiling over.
However on looking at the instruction book again it says to add 2 teaspoons of sunflower oil (or similar)to the water and guess what! "IT WORKS" and I have not had any problems since.
So it pays to "READ THE INSTRUCTION BOOK"!!

Brilliant service
Bought this because it looks great and its a quality brand and sure enough its also brilliant at cooking rice.
Also bought the same brand bread maker, sadly had to go back because of a manufacturing fault however this is where Kitchen Direct excelled in organising a replacement unit. Excellent arrangments were made for returning the faulty one and sending the replacement unit.
There are a few companies out there that could take note on how to deal with customers/aftersales service from Kitchen Direct.. Thank you

Capacity Deceptive
The rice-cooker cooks great rice and I cannot fault the service of Kitchenware Direct. I was sorely disappointed with the capacity of this cooker. The cup size they are referring to is 160mls, not the standard of 250mls .

Good-but really small
I've been looking for a big rice cooker, so when I saw the capacity of this one I thought, great! I didn't realise that the cup capacity was 160mls!!!! A metric cup is 250mls. I was disappointed with the capacity, but the rice cooks quickly and is not brown on the bottom, so that's good. The service from Kitchenware Direct is fantastic.

What an absolutely great product, was very worried about buying this product not knowing about the brand and if i was getting value for money but took the gamble which payed off.
This cooker is briliant!, does everything it says it will, no more burnt rice YAY!! so buy this now! very good value for money

Like Samantha above I had been really hesitant to buy an electric rice cooker! But am so glad I made this purchase...absolutely fabulous rice every time, and it looks Gr8 on the benchtop, too!

Hip to be square
Not only is this the best looking rice cooker I've seen, it is also so easy to use & clean afterwards. I was so happy to find a rice cooker that matches the style of my house :-)

Great Cooker
My old rice cooker cooked rice but; crusty down the bottom, inaccurate water directions and basically the pan gave up the ghost. We eat a great deal of rice in our house, and after doing some research decided on this one. Boy am I glad I did. Perfect rice, and I mean perfect; fluffy and done. It might cost a little more but it is worth it. Heavy duty insert means quality (plus the cuisinart brand) super easy. Great Website for price and service. Thank You

Perfect rice everytime!
I was always hesitant in buying a rice cooker, always thought that I didn't need one the microwave or stove did just fine. But in the end I couldn't go past all the features of the cuisinart rice cooker.
