As said by a previous review - this extra should be a standard part of the KitchenAid mixer kit. I was fortunate to have received a generic Flex Edge beater when I bought my mix master, however when it comes to the same brand attachment - in this case the original is better. Mainly because of the edge of rubber only being on one side and is bigger. The generic had both sides covered with rubber and for some reason was more intricate and fidly to clean.

Must have attachment
The flex edge beater is a must have if you are thinking about or already have a Kitchenaid mixer. Scrapes the side of the bowl so you don't have to and also picks up anything on the bottom of the bowl. Definitely worth purchasing!

Enhance your KitchenAid
I recently purchased the KitchenAid Flex Edge Beater to help out with my Christams cooking. It made mixing much easier as there was no need to scrape down the side of the bowl throughout the process - I recommend this attachment to all KitchenAid Mixer owners!

Much easier
Much better than the original beater that comes with the Kitchenaid. I found I didn't need to keep scraping the sides of the bowl when making cakes. I doubt our other beater will ever come out of the cupboard now.

Not as good as I hoped
I love anything KitchenAid so I was a bit disappointed when I tried this product. Although the beater does a good job of scraping the sides of the bowl it doesn't mix the contents at the base of the bowl so you still need to scrape the bottom of the mixing bowl to ensure thorough mixing. Despite its shortcomings, I still prefer it over the original beater.

Very Handy
I love having this attachment for the Kitchen aid mixer. It came in very handy. Although, I did find that it didn't scrape the bottom of the bowl too well, so I still had to give that a scrape.
