Glass jar metal seal is not good quality

The weights are good and having it in the jar is a great idea. However, the jar's metal seal is of very poor quality and not at all as well made and as strong as it's shown in the picture. The metal seals on my jar is thinner than the one shown in the picture. Everytime I try to seal the jar, the 'hook' bit keeps on falling out of the bottom ring section, so I was forced to hold the whole thing together while trying to secure the lid. I had to go to Ikea to get a replacement jar.

I love them !!

I have been wasting perfectly good rice for years for blind baking. Now I have these pastry weights, never again. They are nice and heavy and even come in their own storage jar. An excellent product with a great price.

Easy to use

These are very easy to use and store and the jar is great. I just wish that you could buy a bigger jar worth as I have a very deep pie dish that requires two lots

Excellent idea!

Love the weights, they work perfectly - But the jar is a great idea! Most other weights come in bags that you rip open then you have to try and find somewhere to keep the little things so this is the perfect solutions! Love it!

Stylish & Practical

I have to agree with the other comments, the jar the weights is presented in is far more attractive than the way they would usually come packaged. Because of this I have made them a feature in my kitchen instead of tucking them away in a cupboard where they can't be seen. I can't wait to use them!

Stoneware Pastry Weights

After all these years of cooking I've finally bought myself some "proper" pastry weights - gone are the days of using rice or dried beans. finally!

I had been using coins to weigh down my quiche pastry. There is a decent amount of weights one jar covers 24 muffin sized quiches and the storage jar is lovely.

Weighty Looker

Bought 1 of these earlier this month and i don't know how i put up with using dried beans for pastry weights for all these years. With this you get the proper pastry weights and a nice looking storage jar. You won't be disappointed with this purchase.
