These jars look awesome, I bought them for preserving things. After I got them I realised the underside of the lid is a coated plastic, turns out it has BPA in it! Yikes!! Not a very healthy option - I don't want that in contact with my food - especially acidic food like tomato sauces and jams. Not sure what to do with them now. I guess they will be ok as dry food storage.

Love these jars!
This size jar is perfect for preserving fruit and I used quite a few last summer - they look wonderful in my pantry. The extra lids will be very useful for when the original ones need to be replaced as mostl metal preserving lids do wear out due to the preserving process. Am happy to recommend these excellent preserving jars.

Beautiful Design
I love the beautiful antique look of these jars. While affordable the jars are very good quality. I actually appreciate that they come with extra lids which will definitely be handy if people are using them for preserving

Love them!
I'm using these jars to store all my nuts and seeds in and they are perfect. No more toxic plastic! They look really good and the lids are easy to open. I also would prefer to pay less and not have the extra lids, as one reviewer commented, but that is my only quibble. I love these jars and hope to use them for decades to come.

Jack of all trades!
This jar is so handy. When the smaller size doesn't get the whole packet in, and the bigger ones are just too, well big - this is the one for the job.
Nuts, dried fruit, pulses are all great in these as the unique lid keeps everything fresh. So very stylish (the whole range is, you can't go wrong) My only grizzle is the extra lid? Why? I would prefer to be charged more and have the bottom included too or, remove the extra lid and reduce the price as it is now, I have a spare lid rolling around the place!
