I love this simple little gadget

I love sour cream! Sadly, I have become lactose intolerant over the years, and sour cream REALLY seems to affect me (even more than just milk). Now I drink Lactose free milk (Zymil or Liddel's). But, what do I put on my Chile con Carne or Baked Potato? The answer, my friends, is greek yoghurt which has sat in one of these little fellers for around 4 days. It goes beautifully thick - I like it more than sour cream now. 20 of the best dollars I have spent on this site...that's for sure...

Cuisipro Yoghurt Maker

I saw this while it was out of stock and waited for it to come in - and it was well worth the wait. It works best on full fat yogurt but if you can get a thick low fat yogurt (which I have note yet tried) I'm sure it would be OK. The cream cheese it makes is SO wonderful, thick & creamy and not as sour as yoghurt,. I use it as a spread, a dressing & and desert & will use it where sour cream is listed in a recipe. BUY IT!!! You won't be sorry. I want to buy it for my daughters and my son when I can afford them.

Cheese Maker

SO EASY!!! Works best with full cream yoghurt. Low fat runs through the sieve. Made really lovely cream cheese which kept for over a week in the fridge. The longer you drain it the better the taste and texture. I used the whey that drained off in cakes. I'll never buy commercial cream cheese again!! I also make my own yoghurt so I will try to make cheese from my ownyoghurt next.

Cuisipro Yohurt Maker

I find using greek yoghurt, put your flavourings in first, garlic, herbs etc, then use the maker, results in this really nice soft cheese spread. Better than the bought stuff

Cuisipro Greek Yoghurt

The description may be misleading from the perspective that the recipe book requires store bought or home made yoghurt to be placed in the maker to make yoghurt cheese (ricotta type cheese). The descritption indicates that this unit makes yoghurt and cheese. I may need to purchase another recipe book to do this. I did follow the instructions with store bought yoghurt and it did result in a creamier and thicker yoghurt - it took three cups and i ended up with 1.5 cups of yoghurt. I feel that i could have bought the creamier yoghurt and it would have been more cost effective. Other than that the unit is neat and easy to clean.

Cuisipro yogurt maker

I love this container. No more pieces of cloth hanging over bowls to make 'Labneh' cheese. It fits nicely in the fridge and best of all it is dishwasher safe. Highly recommended if you make your own 'labneh'.

Cuisipro Greek yogurt maker

This is a compact sealed container and fits neatly into the fridge. I makes the process so much easier and cleaner than using muslin suspended over a bowl especially when we are travelling in our caravan..I jusr love it and recommend it to anyone who makes their own yogurt and likes it thick and creamy.
