This stunning line of classic cutlery features the look and benefits of Damascus steel, yet without its rusting problems. The Damascus-look blade profile reduces sticking and results in less damage to the food being cut and faster prep times.

Shun Classic also features our uniquely stable "D" shape handle design. The "D" shape rests precisely in the curve of the fingers as they curl around the handle. The asymmetrical bolster is ground out more on the right side to provide proper finger placement and an easy, secure grip.

The knives balance perfectly, with the pivot point just ahead of where the handle sweeps out of the blade. In addition, the black Pakkawood handles provide the beauty of genuine wood, but since the wood is impregnated with a waterproof resin they are as durable as plastic.

Classic 3 piece Knife Set.

I own & have used top german knives but these are better because they have a thinner blade with a 16 degree edge in lieu of the german 23 degree edge. They have maintained their sharpness as well as other top knives and are comfortable in hand. Cannot recommend them highly enough. Any further knife purchases will be Shun.

What a bargain!

These are excellent knives! They cut through meat, fruit, and veg alike with seemingly no effort. The only downside is they are delicate as the blades are very thin (thus the reason they work so well!) So store them carefully. But otherwise they are the best knives I've ever used for the best price I've seen.

All the knives you'll need

Great price for this awesome set. Not only do these Shun knives look stunning, they are brilliant at doing what knives do best - cutting! The butcher's knife is better for slicing my home-made bread than any bread knife. Neat slices with hardly a crumb. These should serve me well for years to come.
