I had two of these replaced under warranty for problems with the beaters and the motor. The first machine had problems with the beaters. I sent it for a warranty repair. They gave me replacement beaters but their servicing broke the motor. I got a replacement machine under warranty. The motor was faulty making grinding noises. The next replacement machine they tried to swap it for in the shop had rusty bowls. The current replacement still has problems with the beaters and the whole machine shudders if I try to use the dough mixer. I cannot use the standard size beaters in it as they hit each other while mixing. The first mixmaster I had was a Sunbeam from the 70s. It lasted for more than 20 years. Can't say the same for the new ones. I am saving up for a KitchenAid .

Breaks down

I went through two of these mixers. The first one fused after only using it a handful of times (and just on cake batter) - smoke came out and the engine fried. I got another one and this time the beater came loose from it's seating while mixing which bent and twisted the metal. I got a new beater but it would never sit in properly so it wasn't safe. I have finally bought myself a Kitchenaid and wonder why I ever wasted time on these ones!
