The Food Saver vacuum packaging system is the revolutionary way to store food. It achieves this by extracting air and moisture to create a commercial quality vacuum. Conventional food storage methods such as plastic wrap and containers actually trap air inside with food. But the Food Saver vacuum packaging process removes air from specially designed bags and canisters and seals them airtight. This proven technology extends food freshness up to 5 times longer than conventional storage.

N.B. The Sunbeam Food Saver uses vacuum bags that are up to 28cm wide. As such the following bags are suitable for use with it:

great step up!

I owned the older, smaller food saver, and despite never having a problem with it for 5 years, decided an upgrade was in order!

much improved! manual vacuum and seal as well as automatic works brilliantly.
