Finished in elegant brushed stainless steel, Cuisinart's electric kettle features a cool-touch insulated surface, flip-top lid, drip-free pouring spout, and a lift-off base that's safe for use on any surface. An internal heating element is encapsulated to prevent calcium buildup.

We recommend that you descale your kettle every few months. This can be done by creating an equal mix of white vinegar and water in your kettle and leaving it to soak overnight. If the lime scale is really built up then you may need to boil the solution in the kettle. A descaled kettle will last longer and boil faster and may also help you to avoid warranty issues.
