Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker 6L

I never write reviews, but Im so happy with this cooker that i feel the need to share. Its very easy to use and safe compared to my memories of stove top ones. I think the speed in which you can turn out a great meal is a must for all working mums.

I decided to buy an electric pressure cooker as I had vivid memories growing up of that 'pot' on the stovetop whistling and steaming and on the verge of blowing sky high. I find my Cuisiart electric pressure cooker an absolute treat..the instruction manual a bit hard to decipher but the food I have cooked in my new 'toy' has been fantastic..and the price for the appliance from Kitchenware Direct could not ignored as well

Our company bought this electric pressure cooker to sterilise seeds to create a sterilised growing medium. It works fantastically.

Already rated this after two uses back in July - both amazing. Have sent my slow cooker to the charity shop - this has totally replaced it. So fast, meat so tender, so much flavour - it even makes risotto - so easy. I use it a couple of time a week now and recommend to everyone. If you are looking for a cook book, the Women's Weekly Pressure Cooker book is a great one - lots of ideas to try - we are working our way through them all.

I have tried many different cookers from stove top, tagines, electric slow cookers but this would have to be the easiest, multi functional cooker I have experienced using. The instructions are easy to follow and it cleans easily with soap & water. I have already told many friends and family about the cooker.

The last pressure cooker we purchased did not last the distance so very happy with the 3 year warranty on this one. I love Cuisinart's cookware so I know I am going to love this appliance. Have only used it once to cook a soup and it worked fantastically and cleaning up was a breeze too! Must get myself a pressure cooker recipe book now to expand on my list of recipes as I am starting full time work next year and know that I will need to use this regularly. Love it!

Seems very well construct and easy to use which is great for a male.The lamb shanks were the best I have ever cooked.They were so tender

We love slow cooked dishes and have managed to cook 3-4 in the two weeks we have had this. It is fantastic. Easy to use and because the lid removes so easily it is very simple to continue cooking if your recipie didn't give you enough cook time for your dish. just replace the lid set the minutes you want and it will do the rest for you. Plus you can then reduce sauces once the pressure is releases and lid removed. So much quicker than the stove or oven for slow cooking. can't wait to try our favourite Slow cooked mexican pork. Mmmmm

Gave it a good run in the first week. Garlic & herb Lamb Shanks, Minestrone, Moroccan Lamb shanks , then Risotto Milanese. Browning function works swell, and now that I understand the controls better (Manual was partly confusing, hence the 1/2 star off), its such a time saving unit in the kitchen. Looking forward to steaming as the next test :)

Always scared of the MIL's old one, tried it twice now, first was great, second, I needed to learn a bit more about the timing of foods, but can say, I think, I will use this more in summer with practice than the slow cooker

received my pressure cooker yersterday made an amzing chiken soup in 8 minutes the kids just loved :) cant wait to use it again tonie & tommorow nite :)

Even after reading all the positive reviews, I still had reservations as I placed my order. Would this be another appliance that took up bench space and rarely got used? I'm happy to say that this would have to be one of the best appliances I've bought. How did I live without it? I use it all the time and its so easy. Would recommend it to everyone!

Yes, I am a guy, and yes, I'm not trained in cooking, however, I'm learning quickly with the items I have purchased from Kitchenware Direct. The latest is the Cuisinart Pressure Cooker. Not knowing what size to get, I purchased the 6 litre, which turned out to be the correct one for all my requirements. I found the instructions and the Cooker to be very user friendly, and within minutes of unwrapping, washing and placing my ingredients inside the bowl, my first experience of pressure cooking was underway. The end result was perfection and I can truly say that I have achieved Successful Cooking at Last! Bill Scurry Marriage Celebrant, and now Cook... :o)

All I can remembger is Mum's pressure cooker when I was little...I was scarred of it. Finally I have overcome my fear and purchased this modern version....so easy to use. Makes the richest spaghetti sauce in a half hour. Yummmm

I bought this Pressure Cooker from a review in the Good Taste mag and then read the reviews on here and that sold me. This is the easiest appliance I have ever used and all the dinners I have made in it are so tasty and so quick!! Highly recommended. So easy to clean also.

Always wanted this model. Did my research but store prices were ridiculous. Kitchenware Direct had great price and even better when ON SALE! Bought without hesitation. Once I realised I needed a more liquid consistancy, all went well, now I just need a little more practise, and I'm sure everthing will be fine. Especially happy with the advice received from Kitchenware Direct regarding my problem. Thank you

Saw this reviewed in Good Taste and just had to have it - great price too. Only made two meals so far but the family loved those so much they have requested at least one pressure cooked meal each week. Incredibly tender meat and great flavour - much nicer than in the slow cooker. Love it!!!!!!!!!!

Pressure cookers have come a long way! I was a bit scared at first, but it is so easy to use and the instructions are fantastic. A great tool for a working mum.

what a great machine,everything from rice pudding to beef stew cooked to perfection and so quick.easy to clean,just love it,I know what to buy my family for xmas.

So much easier to use than a stove top pressure cooker. Made great beef cheeks with mushrooms in less than an hour instead of the 4 to 5 hours it takes in an oven.

Bought this after reading reviews...but all the time thinking...do I really need another appliance ! So pleased I did !! Being one who doesn't think about meals too much in advance... I can now prepare delicious meals almost instantly. Having memories of my mother's "scarry" pressure cooker too... this one is a breeze!

As the queen of kitchen gadgets, I must say this beats every other gadget I have ever bought. Have used it on numerous occassions and ALL meals hve been perfect. It's great to get home after work and rather think about what cooks quickly, I can prepare and cook and have everything on the table for dinner in just under one hour. The meals I make usually take 2-3 hours on the stove top. Busy people must all have this product in their kitchen! You'll love it!!

Wow!! This thing is so easy to operate & what it produces is such a pleasure to eat! I bought this for my dad(His Broke!) & he loves it! Since it's Electric, it really looks after the food for you, all ya gotta do is chuck in ingredients & set timer. He won't be going back to a manual pressure cooker now that's for sure! Without a doubt this is the best appliance I have ever purchased, and believe me I have a lot. The ease of use and cleaning are absolutely wonderful. I can cook a meal in under 10 mins and clean up in 5mins and everything tastes so good as all the natural juices are retained in the cooking. Go out and buy one - you won't regret it! You will love it as much as I do mine.

Omg, this is the perfect pressure cooker! I've never used a pressure cooker before, I remember being so scared of mum's stove-top version which rattled and shook and hissed. I received mine yesterday and made the chicken and dumpling recipe in the instruction book. It was fantastic and I am hooked. I can't wait to try a beef stew.

I purchased this pressure cooker for my daughter who works full time and has two young girls. The pressure cooker enables her to cook meals while she is out which leaves time for the girls when she gets home. Most ingenious....

I have used varoius pressure cookers in the last 20 years and nothing is easier then this pressure cooker. It is so fast and does not burn the food unlike some others products. Well worth the purchase.

My family just enjoyed the best beef stew I have ever cooked - and it wasn't that hard. I never thought I'd buy a pressure cooker as my mum never had one and I thought they were just too tempermental to use. But the electric cooker was so great and easy to use!

This pressure cooker is my favourite in the kitchen. When you may not feel like cooking all you do is put a few ingredients in the pot and in 10 minutes it's cooked without any effort at all. The flavour of the meals are very very tasty and the meat is sooooo tender. Highly recommend if you want to save time spent in the kitchen and eat beautiful meals.

I purchased this electric pressure cooker after having a stove top pressure cooker and I couldn't believe how easy it is to use and clean. No need to 'shake' the pot as the food doesn't stick to the Teflon coating and this appliance has saved me so much time. With our busy lifestyles, this was the assistance that I needed to cook meals for my family every night without waiting a long time. I can't recommend this enough. Best investment I've made !! Virtually any recipe can be cooked in it as it browns, sautees, simmers and keeps food warm as well as low and high pressure cooker with automatic timer that switches to 'warm' when the food has finished cooking. I use it just about every night and love it.

I spent a lot of time umming and ahhing over whether I was being bit OTT if I bought an electric pressure cooker as I seem to be Queen of the kitchen gadgets and gizmos. I succumbed to temptation and I am so Happy I did. This is a fabulous useful addition to my kitchen and I love it to bits. I used the old stove top pressure cookers for years and loved them but this electric one wins hands down for convenience of use. I have spread the word to all and sundry about what a great item this is and convinced a couple of people to give it a try and they are now converts to electric pressure cookers. If in doubt see previous reviews and make a positive decision and you won't regret it.

I have never before wanted a pressure cooking until I saw this beautiful machine and purchased same. I now have no idea how I managed without it. It is so versatile and quick and of course easy to clean once the meal is over. I love it,s compact clean lines and side handles which reduce space needed in my cupboard. Our family love soups and these are so quick to make, in fact a fraction of the time of former methods I used.
A great test dish were lamb shanks.... they were perfect!
