Description

You can't beat iron for heat diffusion and retention. This makes the metal particularly good for searing and frying.

There's also something satisfyingly old school about taking a large, simple iron wok, applying heat, throwing in your meat and veggies and giving it all a good stir.

Also, its diameter is a quarter of the height of a larger AFL player, so this is indeed a good-sized cooking vessel!

This wok is great yes it is quite big but is just what I need to feed up to 10 people and I just make smaller amounts for less numbers. After use I clean & dry and asap oil it with peanut oil as it is best, if not you will find a rust on it the next day! Kitchenware direct has been great for any of my orders. I have been so pleased with there service....... Thankyou

tomkin iron wok 50cm

This wok is very big - of course it is - it is 50cm! I was silly and thought it looked smallish in the picture and ordered it! I now realised I should have ordered a 32cm wok - and it is too big to send back. Kitchen direct were great - quick to give information and to send by post - very helpful. They can't help the person who doesn't think before they order! silly me.
