Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker 1.5L Orange

I am so happy with this machine. It is so easy to use. And I LOVE the recipe book that comes with it. Made three different flavours today for a party tomorrow. AMAZING.

My Cuisinart ice cream maker is probably one of the busiest appliances in the kitchen ;) I had wanted one for ages because I was sick of buying ice cream with 40 ingredients. While you have to make sure you have room in the freezer for the bowl (and, of course, the finished product) and all that, it's well worth being organised for that. The one thing I would say however, the little recipe booklet that comes with it perhaps isn't really the best guide to making the fluffy ice cream that you want. It guides you to making a custard, if you like, which when frozen, (at least for me) freezes hard and you have to let it stand before you can scoop. My suggestion: Yes, like the book says, you kind of want ice cream to be 1 part milk and 2 parts cream. You only make the one part of milk the custard and you whip the cream separately and fold the cooled milk mixture into the whipped cream -- then let your Cuisinart ice cream maker have its way with it! Makes for a fluffy ice cream :D

Works well. It helps if ingredients are chilled (eg. making custart/sugar syrup the night before). I have noticed that you can get an icecream attachment (similar) for a kitchen aid. If I could afford a kitchen aid I would have got the attachment instead. The plastic can be a little flimsy, I broke the plastic lid within a couple of uses, and its held together well with sticky tape! But overall a great product. Recommended.

Luv it. First night we had it we made cherry ripe ice cream. Boys said it was like mcflurrys from McDonalds. We use light cream and milk and turns out great. Or just put made cordial in for slushies. Wish I had bought one years ago.

The need for an ice cream maker was increasing becoming higher on our list with a child who has food allergies. I had seen older style machines and hadn't been impressed by anything as yet.... Well until our Cuisinart ice cream maker arrived. It is easy enough for anyone in the house to use and the result was 2 thumbs up. Very tasty ice cream with little effort.

Had been thinking about an ice cream maker for a while and when the KitchenwareDirect special offer came through it seemed daft to wait any longer. The Cuisinart is simple enough to use, but it can be a bit hit or miss until you work out the finer details so don't plan to make your first batch of ice cream for some very important dinner party! For example, I learned the hard way that it takes 48 hours to freeze the bucket properly in my freezer. And I thought my first sorbet was done, but when we came to eat it we realised it needed a bit more time being churned. These are all details though. The little machine does what it says on the box and at the Kitchenware Direct price I really have absolutely no complaints! And yes I did buy the orange one and yes it is VERY orange.

You're hips will not like this machine! :) It is so easy to use that you will be making delicous ice-cream all the time. It is not only easy to use but easy to clean as well. I highly recommend this product.

Wow - this makes the most wonderful ice cream, just like the gelateria! So easy to invent flavours too, once you find a great base recipe. Incredibly easy to use and clean - so happy!

I bought this as a Christmas present for my husband who loves ice-cream. Needless to say, he has never used it, but I've made him plenty of icecream. I had never used an ice-cream maker before but am now sold on this one! It is a small ice-cream maker so you can't make great big batches but I usually manage to make enough to 3/4 fill a small tub. I recommend this ice cream maker because it's quite compact and been very reliable with heavy use.

I did a lot of research into lots of machines. This is a great machine for the money. It isn't anywhere as noisy as people on many websites posted as a con. It makes great ice cream and frozen drinks. The initial consistency is more like soft serve, but if you like it harder pop it in freezer. We love our new appliance. Kitchenware Direct were prompt with delivery, a very smooth transaction.

this is so easy to use and clean up afterwards, the recipe book is a great starter point and ice cream is beautiful with everyday type ingredients!!!

I have been looking at this item for a while now and decided I would treat myself, I should have bought it sooner, it has been great and it makes a great dessert with no chemicals at a great price. It is eally easy to use, just make sure the bowl is really frozen and the mixture is really cold put it in the fridge for a few hours before putting in the machine. so great

The Cuisinart Ice Cream Maker is one of the best electrical items we have bought for a long time. As it is used almost daily it sits easily and neatly on the kitchen bench. The kids love this item as they easily make fruit juice slushies, thickshakes, sorbets and icecream with ease and presto 20-30 minutes later they have a fantastic finished product that they can be proud to devour. Highly recommend.

a very handy, satisfactory product. Makes ice cream, sorbet, frozen yoghurt very well. Easy to clean. Not too noisy - a dull rumble for 20-30 mins is well worth it for the tasty output!! Good, efficient service from KitchenWare direct - very happy customer here!

Very easy to clean and to use. Although it is a bit loud. I am not sure how loud other ice cream makers are as this is the first one I have used. Just a bit of back ground noise really. It is a good product. No regrets.

I have been looking for a ice maker for quiet awhile, but they have been two expensive. This one was the right price and a great selection of colours. We have already used it three times, so easy to use and its great to be able to make your own favours and use fresh fruit.
