What great knives and how cheap are they are global knives. I've had so many comments on them. Also had brillant, quick service from kitchen direct.

i brought the globle knife block set as i work in a kitchen at a busy pub and everyone i work with said to get them so i did, im so glad i did, the best i have ever used, they came really fast,didn't have to wait long at all, they are so good im gonna buy another set for home, the best thing i have brought for not only work but home, very very happy

These are the best knives I have ever had. They arrived very promptly without any fuss and they really look good in the block. I am so pleased my sister recommended that I buy these knives as she swears by them and they cut so beautifully I can't believe how great they are! I also purchased the knife sharpener as you cannot have a great set of knives without a really god sharpener, but have not used this yet.

Great set of knives. In addition to the expceptional quality knives which I have used before, I chose this set because the knives do not slot into individual slots which I dislike as they get dirty and are not easy to clean. In this set the knives hang loose behind the clear front. This ensures that the block stays much cleaner. Great service, delivery and feedback at a great price.

Makes the most mundane food prep an absolute pleasure. Beautifully light and comfortable to hold and lethally sharp. Be careful! The hanging block with see-thru cover is miles ahead of a solid block and looks very swish. The set is a bargain compared with buying individually and the range is really useful. The bonus sharpener is very good. Delivery was swift. After multiple purchases, can't speak too highly of Kitchenware Direct.

As already mentioned these knives are top draw..... No faulting them, they are the best knives i have used! The knife block is really smart but mine unfortunately arrived with numerous scratches on the perspex which we quite noticeable... Customer services were excellent and sent me a free returns label to send the block back whilst i keep hold of the knives and use the everyday.

I purchased this knife block set as a wedding gift and they were excellent value, this a sensational discount from the RRP! The free delivery was an added bonus and the package arrived in excellent condition within 3 business days. I can only give 4 stars as I cannot comment on the use of the knives as they were a gift but the receiver has a couple of global knives already and raves about them! So I assume this product would be of the same high quality.

Global knives would have to be the best knives on the planet!!!! (well that i've tried so far anyway). Excellent product, prompt delivery and cheap price i don't think i could ask for anything more.... note to other Global users though - do not put them in the dishwasher!!!! i did this with a big 27cm cooks knife and the handle snapped off (granted after about 2 years) whilst chopping chocolate.

After much searching on the internet about the best value for money QUALITY knives, I opted for this set. It was out of Wusthorf, Mundial and Global and I thought my culinary skills were not up to scratch to spend $800 on a set of wusthorfs, and colleagues who were mundial users said its pretty good but Global were better (endorsed by Masterchef and also Japanese are renowned for samurai sharp knives!) They are pretty light weight and I love that it doesnt have plastic or wooden handles. Its more hygienic to use and clean. Also the knives are razor sharp and easy to manoeuvre for a non expert like me. I am really liking these and I bought them on sale which was even a better bargain. So far no issues and I am really pleased with it. And it was quick easy delivery too! 4 stars since I have only been using them for a month.....

After making do with many different types of knives for most of my life to have a set so easily accessible, good looking and bloody sharp is a bonus I deserve in my latter years. I nearly sliced a finger just taking them out of the plastic holder. Great feel and weight and extremely useful in the kitchen. Well done Global *****

Bought these knives during the Masterchef's final show. They arrived way earlier than I had expected, in a very secure postage box. First time I used one of the knives I was cutting up potatoes for mash. Cutting through the potato so easily I immediately assumed that the potato must have been old and soft to cut it so perfectly and with ease. But the vegetable was firm, so I got my old knife out and realized that I had been literally HACKING at my vegetables, when the new knives would cut them beautifully. Since then I have not looked back. I love carving roasts with the knives and being able to make precision cuts with fruits and vegetables for salads. Strongly recommend these to anyone that wants to cut their cooking time in half to a more quality experience in the kitchen.

My daughter has been struggling for years with bad knives. I bought this set for her birthday, and her praise of the set is loud. She is telling all her friends about it. I have one Gobal Ikasu Chef's knife, and wish now I'd bought the set for myself!

We live self-sufficently on a small farm and are always processing our own food. Buying these knifes iis the best investment I have made in years. Cutting up fruit for preserves, slicing proscuitto made from our pigs or butchering a steer , are all a breeze with my lovely new Global knifes.

The knives themselves get 5 stars because they are amazing. I was disappointed however to find out that what looks like glass in the picture is only plastic, and it's not held in place so if you pick up the knife set the plastic pieces slip out (for example when you are cleaning the counter underneath the knife set.) This is not a huge deal so I only took off one star, but it would really make a big difference in the appearance of quality if it were glass. Why make a product of such great quality look cheaper by using plastic in the case? There is another case that is silver and black but that didn't go with my kitchen so I went with this case.

These knives are fantastic! Balance really well in the hand and are so sharp - they totally demolished pumpkin which I normally dread cutting. I'm very happy with them.

Have never had shapr quality knives these are grea and it was susggested that i wear gloves tolearn and get used to using to avoid cutting myself ! I like the shape of the handles although they my be too small for people with bigger hands!

Extremely sharp out of the box. Well balanced and nice to hold. Light weight which I love. My other quality knife was a bit on the heavy side and I could not get it nearly as sharp as the Gloabl knives. Highly recommended.

These are the best knives I have ever used, and I am pretty fussy about how sharp my knives are. I can even use them to chop things straight into a bowl, without a chopping board, because the knives glide through things so easly. The knife block is also nice and slim for easy storage on the benchtop.

It was for a wedding present which was listed on their bridal registry. the product was received in perfect condition within 5 working days and I certainly can't complain about the $150 saving!!! I recently bought a set of Global Knives from KWD and just love them. They are so sharp, light weight,and "slimline" block set holds knives so neatly in place. KWD customer service were very efficient and helpful, a rarity today.

Its so excellent to have knives that work so well! These are great, and I love the feel of them, wish I bought them sooner. So sharp though, careful when washing them!

These knives are wonderful and the knife block looks great. It has perspex down the sides to keep the knives clean. A good mix of knives included that will do just about everything you need. A really great price too given what it still retails for in the stores.

The shipping was great for this set of knives and it arrived beautifully wrapped as requested for an xmas gift. First thing, the knives themselves are really great. However I find some of them weird sizes... I would prefer a couple were larger/longer. I also find the vertical placement of the knives in the block to be a bit awkward and I'm sure the block will get cut up near the entry holes from missing the hole on the first try when stored under cupboards, etc.

When I read that people had cut themselves with these knives I thought it was just an operator error.... But I have cut myself a couple of times as there seems to be no resistance when cutting. The knives just glide through everything... I am really glad I bought these and would recommend them to anyone wanting a good set of sharp knives- but beware to start until you get used to them...

Absolutely incredible set of knives. They have the killer looks and are super sharp to boot. Cut through a raw potato as if it is soft butter. Only issue I have is that the block that came with mine is slightly rocky and does not sit sturdy on the bench.

These knives are the greatest, stay sharp forever and so easy to sharpen too. But recently my husband dropped on of the knives and it BROKE in half!!! Will now have to see how good the warranty is!

Had these knives for a few months and they are just amazing. Not the cheapest by any means but very lightweight, balanced and sharp! I would reccomend this product as a starter 'premium' set. For the real MasterChef's out there you'll need to buy some additional sized knives to get the most in the Kitchen.
