Revol took their inspiration from natural slate when they created the rough-hewn pieces of the Basalt range. Looks can be deceiving, though: these trays and plates are made of 100% culinary-grade porcelain and the non-porous material will not chip and scratch, nor will it absorb fats and bacteria. They'll certainly make a striking presentation and will make for inspired entertaining. 

For over 200 years France's Revol has been perfecting the craft of making porcelain that withstands the rigours of kitchen use. The family-owned company is rare in that it produces its own clay, a secret mix that includes quartz, feldspar and kaolin, and this allows them to be especially adaptable to the requirements of their products. Through technical innovation, creativity and perseverance, Revol now ships fine porcelain goods from their state-of-the-art Saint-Uze production facility to more than 60 countries around the globe.
