Love the taste of fresh tomatoes? With the Gulliver Tomato Machine you will be able to create amazing home made sauces or a delightful glass of tomato juice from fresh in-season tomatoes. Simply fasten the machine to your kitchen bench with the easy to use screw action clasp, prepare your tomatoes and place a container below both of the chutes, one to catch the juice and the other to collect the remains.
Now comes the fun part. Slide your tomatoes in to the top section and take hold of the handle. Spin the handle in a clockwise direction which powers the grinding section as it pulls the tomatoes in to the crushing area and the fresh juice will begin to flow while the remains simply slide out the secondary chute into another bowl. Within a few minutes you will have fresh tomato juice to enjoy or add to your favourite recipe.
NOTE: For best results we recommend slicing the tomato into small pieces before placing them in the top section.
I have always been in love with well designed machines that do what they are designed to do, this is a ripper.
We are now in the middle of a tomato glut, and I am processing each day, with ease.
I oven bake my tomatos first, 30 minutes @ 170c after sprinkling them with olive oil, sea salt and fresh ground black pepper. The sauce tastes magnificent, and the gentle cooking eases the processing. I also include heads of oven roasted garlic per 20kgs of tomato, I squeeze the garlic out of its skin before adding to the cooked tomatos

Great Machine
I put tomato sauce through the Kware Gulliver. However, I took the skins off the tomatoes first as I add apples as well as onions which does make a thicker mixture. After processing all the cooked mixture, which went through without a problem, I felt there was too much wastage in the pulp so put the pulp back through. This was when I found that if I turned the handle too quickly it didn't give the thicker puree time to flow and backlogging did occur. To remedy this I ran the pulp with backlogged puree in it through the Emanuel3 stainless steel vegetable mill using the finest disc which worked really well.

GULLIVER MOULI
I RECEIVED MY GULLIVER MOULI LAST WEEK, AND HAVE ALREADY MADE SAUCE. IT IS A FABULOUS MOULI, SO EASY TO USE, IT SEPARATES SEED AND SKINS FROM THE PULP FOR YOU, SAVING HEAPS OF TIME. THANK YOU KITCHENWARE DIRECT, I ALMOST DESPAIRED OF FINDING THIS UNTIL I FOUND YOU.

Tomato Machine
The Gulliver's tomato machine provided me with a lovely puree. However, I found that the tomatoes had to be really ripe and chopped roughly before processing to enable me to be able to turn the handle of the machine. I also had to put the pulp through twice to get the most of the juice from the fruit. It's a lot of hard work but worth the effort!

Brilliant machine
I have had a tomato puree machine for years now and it is the best! The skins and seeds come out one side and the pulp comes out the other. I do find it best to cook the tomatoes first so they squash more easily and do not squirt around the kitchen. I take the pulp and cook it down to a thick puree and bottle it for use all through the year. The worm farm gets the seeds and skins.
