Industrial Strength

Cheap and cheerful slicer - made of heavy duty metal. Works well and only neds a rinse to get it clean. Its less than $6 so its worth it. I dont have a dishwasher (and am not sure its even dishwasher safe) so no weird tarnishing for me. Its cast aluminium so I would advise against dishwashers anyway.

Dishwasher destruction

After it was placed in the dishwasher for an initial wash it came out covered in a thick grey residue which could not be removed so the slicer was discarded unused. Do not buy

Stainless Steel..?? I don't think so!

The hinge pin and wire look like they're stainless steel but the rest of the item is cast aluminium coated with a finish that washed off the first time through the dishwasher. Item now has a permanent "tarnished" look..

Egg slicer

ok, it does what its meant to BUT, this is cheap for a reason, i think it must have been pressed and stuck in the box without cleaning. the egg slicer comes covered in tiny metal shavings, so make sure you wash it, and your hands well prior to use.
