Think of this as a big, shiny garlic press - because that's what it is, more or less. With it you can take your spuds and make a smooth mash, a finer puree or a coarser product, depending on which disc you use. You'll be able to fit one medium-sized potato or two smaller ones in it. The unit is made of stainless steel and has a very solid feel to it.
Savannah's potato ricer can also be used for other cooked vegetables, such as sweet potatoes, carrots, parsnips and turnips. It's also pretty good at squeezing the water out of blanched greens, like spinach. You can also prepare healthy baby food with it (such as apple puree) or maybe fresh fruit juice from quartered oranges or lemons. A very handy tool.
A very handy tool to have and it makes the best mashed potatoes. You can akso use this tool for making string hoppers etc.
I would recommend this to anyone who love mashed potatoes.
