Screw loose

I thought that Avanti was a reputable brand however, I am rather disappointed with the Carry Basket. I used it for the first time for a picnic and it was great - the food that I was providing fitted really well into the basket. However, two of the protective 'feet' have come off and the screw thread has broken so the feet can't be screwed back on. I know have to rather dangerously sharp screws sticking out of the bottom of the basket and there is no way I can remove them. As I worry about the scratching of surfaces they will do, I will try to find a solution at my local hardware store, but I didn't think I would have to do this after the first use and especially for a product which I thought had a good name.
