Cooking really becomes a high art when you start using the spices and seasonings. The alchemy starts then and you spend a lot of time going back and forth to the spice rack... or rummaging through a dark pantry, which is something you don't want to do for long if you're just getting into cooking.
A spice rack or spice carousel can add that sense of real productivity and colour to your kitchen, and there are plenty of design options here. Short on space? Try a magnetic spice rack, which takes the whole contraption off of the counter and onto the wall.
