I bought these knives to go camping as they can stay safe in their covers and being color-coded will not get mixed up with other peoples. I have just bought the knife sharpener advised by Maxwell and Williams so that I will not ruin the color coating. I am very happy with the style, the price and the usefulness of this set.
My mother-in-law and I adore these knives. The colours and blade are super sharp! The knives sit very comfortably in the hand while chopping/ slicing/ dicing.
These look great with their bright colours. The blade covers are such a great idea and allow them to be stored without getting dirty. They are good quality. LOVE them!
We loved receiving this set as a gift, but they have not held up well to standard use in a home kitchen. The bread knife (the blue one) broke; the blade separated from the handle... cutting bread is not a strenuous task, so it is evident that the knife was not made well. Another problem is that with the coloured blades, sharpening them ruins the look. What good are knives that cannot be sharpened? I would not purchase these knives.
Have just received my knife set but haven't used them as yet. I know they will be great to use. Janine of Melbourne, I found you can buy the sharpeners on ebay if you haven't already got one.
What a great set these are so good to take anywhere with their own little covers, love the colour would brighten up any kitchen
I love it soo pretty and such quick service and they are lovely and sharp
A knife for all jobs and each one is great. Love the protective coating on the blades as it allows for easier slicing through foods. I have not had any trouble purchasing a sharpener but haven't needed to use it yet.
I brought these as they were cheerful and hoped they would encourage me to cook dinner when I really didn't want to (unlike my other knives, no happy encouragement from them). They are so much better than expected, really sharp and nice to hold handles. My only quibble is that kitcenware direct do not stock the sharpener that does with this, and I have not been able to track one down anywhere as yet.
Great quality knives, come with safety sheath. Non-stick coating and easy to use. Also fabulous price for the quality of the knives.
